Howard and Rebecca Luck

Meet the Owners!

Meet Howard and Rebecca Luck, the new owners of We Rock the Spectrum – Northridge! Although the couple do not have children, their experience with the special needs world comes from a lifetime of overcoming odds with their own learning disabilities. The Luck’s first met in junior high, at age 12,  which was the beginning to their friendship and love story now 25 years later. Howard grew up with ADD/HD and has auditory processing disorder. Later in life, he would be diagnosed with Dyslexia as well. Rebecca was diagnosed as a new born with right side hemiparesis and she has overcome adversities because of this, along with her learning disabilities.

Fighting through the school system, both with an IEP, Howard was constantly told he had little hope with his career options. His high school counselor told him college was not an option. If anyone was going to defy all odds, it was Howard. He worked hard to obtain his Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing.

Howard and Rebecca both began volunteering and working with We Rock the Spectrum in the beginning of 2018. In the summer they got wind of an opportunity to own WRTS Northridge. Inspired by the mission of full inclusion, they became certain that their future was to help younger special needs children. The Luck’s story of perseverance and helping those with different abilities is the core of what We Rock the Spectrum is about.
